OUR STORY

Gentry County Tractor & Implement

Carmack Junction, Missouri

Summa Implement Company was founded in 1949 by Lloyd Summa in Gentry County, Missouri. Located at Carmack Junction, between the cities of Stanberry and Albany, the business was originally named Gentry County Tractor & Implement Co. In the early years Lloyd sold Ford tractors and equipment, and occasionally bartered with area farmers by accepting payment in the form of crops or livestock which were kept in a barn adjacent to the dealership.

In 1954, Lloyd opened a second dealership in Maryville, Missouri and renamed the business as Summa Implement Company. Lloyd's son, Craig, officially joined Summa Implement in 1958 and became the General Manager when Lloyd retired in 1978. A third generation of the Summa family, Craig's son, Kent, joined the dealership in 1982 as an employee in the Parts Department. Kent is now the Owner of Summa Implement Company.

After 72 years, and counting, Summa Implement continues to offer, "Quality Service from those who care!"
